   In a recent sermon, my husband called her the most influential person in America. It’s sad to see how many people will let another think/decide for them, when the person has no qualifications to do so.

   I never thought about her being the most influential person in America, but your husband may well be right. She’s certainly one of the most influential people. Of course, she’s got everything the media is looking for. She’s black, she’s female, she’s of uncertain sexual orientation, and she’s a liberal. What’s not to like?

   If he’s not careful, Sen. Obama may find himself taking a back seat to Oprah. Of course, that could be to his advantage, as an uninformed electorate may confuse the last name beginning in ‘O’ on the ballot with the first name of the celebrity, thus gaining him the White House by association!
