Gloomy conservatives
I just read the book “American Oddyssey” about McCain’s amazing life and the many near brushes with death. (jet crash in Corpus Christi bay, deck fire on USS Forestal and of course 6 years in Hanoi). I find jokes about his “living in bamboo” to be in extremely poor taste.
That having been said, I see much to criticize, lampoon or lambaste in his congressional/Senatorial voting record. (ie “Amnesty John” with all his collaborative efforts for NCLB, anti-1st Amendmt campaign restrictions, etc)
Despite all those I’m still inclined to vote for him should he get the nomination
