OK, it’s sorta funny. But here’s the problem, fellow conservatives. It’s more of an insult to Obama’s supporters than to Obama itself. We can’t object to the Left portraying conservatives as gullible dittoheads when we do the same thing to them.
This kind of joke does nothing to advance the debate about what kind of country we need, and which leader will be best for us. I’m surprised Worldmag is running this, frankly.
Sorry, “himself.” Not a Freudian slip, I’m sure, nor an intentional insult.
good point, RR. It actually shows how brainwashed Obama’s supporters really are. Have you not see the videoes where people are fainting over him? This guy has a following like he’s the Democrat messiah! Even after Oprah said on her show she is supporting him, her ratings are dropping by 21%.
Still…..if he is the Lib nominee in November, the country will do itself well by voting for (gulp) John McCain.
…..anybody have any breath spray?
Um, Justus331, I haven’t seen the videos you’re talking about. The point I’m making is that the “If you disagree with me it must be because you’re stupid and/or gullible” tactic, whether employed by Left or Right about the other, does nothing to promote a civilized debate.
I disagree with Obama’s supporters because he is not ready for prime time (as evidenced by recent gaffes on the stump), because he’s as on the record as it is possible to be about his pro-abortion views, because his foreign-policy indicators frighten me, and because he’s making nationalized healthcare a central theme of his campaign. I don’t think his supporters are stupid; I just think they’re wrong. Wrong about policies, and wrong about his trustworthiness and character.
That’s different from saying they’re dupes. Lazy argumentation just wears me out.
Obama has a lot of people for him. But his pro-abortion views reflect a lot on what he believes about humans and rights. He even recently voted to pass a bill (or something of the sort) that would state that even after an attempted abortion if the baby was born the baby would not be a baby.
If you ever talk to a voter for Obama, try talking to them about abortion rights. Just because someone is nice to people now doesn’t mean they will be always.
RR, I was reffering to the videoes from news sources, CNN, Fox News, et al. However, if you want real videoes, you can check the “Obamamaniacs fainting” out here from YouTube:

There are more, I assure you, but this is what I wanted you to know about, RR. One must be careful to not be swooned by Mr. Obama’s charisma as these folks in the videoes are. One must be diligent in knowing what Obama’s policies will be, which are already clearly stated. Same goes for Hillary and John McCain.
Measure the candidates on their values and ideology, not the “rock-star” perception.
