A matter of life
What percentage of armed robberies are committed by white males? Yet when’s the last time any cartoon or TV commercial depicted an armed crimina as a black man? It’s always a white guy. Even on The Simpsons, which is less respectful of sacred cows than most other TV shows, criminals and prisoners are overwhelmingly white, turning reality completely on its head. And why are people so afraid of depicting this particular aspect of life accurately? Is it because they’re afraid of being called racist?
