Well, KRM, you've got a point. But even there, we could say that you have no need to worry, because God will equip you to do what He calls you to do.

I was going to say that maybe worrying about our willingness has a point to it, but then I thought of Philippians 2:13, which has both the doing & the willing covered...

<i>"...for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.</i>

But I do know what you mean. I can worry about what you mentioned, or worry about how willing a loved one will be in following Christ, particularly my children (one grown, one almost grown).

Stubob & Karen O - I disagree somewhat.

I don't worry about God, or whether He is up to any task.

I do worry about me, and whether I am up to God's tasks for me.

As a Sunday School teacher once put it, "When we worry, we are in effect saying that either God doesn't know about our situation, or that He knows but doesn't care. Neither of those are ever true."

The world sees moral failings of prominent Christians and rightly condemns them as hypocrites. But the greater hypocrisy is this: We claim to trust God while continuing to worry.
