Andree makes a decent point at the start of the essay: That is to say, we are put in a position of having to trust one another just in order to live.
If a person thinks long enough, they realize that we cannot "do this life thing" alone. We rely on people, but really rely on God's Word to sustain our existence.....or we should, anyway.

<i>"One of France’s largest banks, Société Général, trusted a 31-year-old trader and he cost them $7.2 billion for their confidence a month ago."</i>

I hardly think that being forced to trust others because things are out of your personal control, like mechanics for a plane, could be construed as trust. You are depending on them instead. Since you can't trust them you assume risk. Risk is what rewards you. Sometimes it rewards with life and sometimes it rewards ou with death.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
      And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
      And He shall direct your paths."

What kind of people are you trusting?

Proverbs 13:20
"He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
companion-- "one who grazes in the same pasture"
fool--"those who are stubborn, dull, arrogant."
harm--destroyed

Proverbs 27:3
"Stone is heavy and sand a burden, but a provovation by a fool is heavier than both."
